Recipo Privacy Policy

Summary

Recipo is an iPhone photo editing app. Core photo editing runs on device. Recipo does not require account creation for the core editing flow.

Photos and Camera

Recipo accesses photos only when you choose a photo to edit. Recipo saves edited photos to your photo library only when you choose export.

Recipo uses the camera only when you open the live camera simulation feature. Captured photos are used for editing inside the app.

Optional Usage Analytics

If you leave Send Usage Analytics enabled in Camera Settings, Recipo may send a small set of pseudonymous product-interaction and usage events to PostHog. These can include an event name, selected look ID, app and operating-system version, device model, locale, session ID, and a random app-specific identifier.

We do not send photos, image pixels, filenames, EXIF, face or skin inference, location, GPS, paths, URLs, raw bytes, purchase receipts, account identities, or cross-app tracking identifiers. We do not use analytics for advertising or tracking.

You can turn Send Usage Analytics off at any time. Turning it off immediately stops further transmission and removes Recipo's persisted anonymous analytics ID and the token-scoped PostHog queue from the device. Editing and saving photos continue to work with analytics off.

Local App Data

Recipo may store local app preferences and editing state on your device, such as whether feedback was submitted, entitlement cache state, or camera preferences.

Purchases

The public release offers one non-consumable house look pack through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple may process purchase-related information according to Apple's policies. Recipo may keep local entitlement state so the app can understand whether that purchase should be available on the device.
